Playstation Network Status

As of February 8, 2025, the PlayStation Network (PSN) is experiencing a significant outage affecting multiple services, including account management, gaming and social features, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and the PlayStation Direct website. Users may encounter difficulties launching games, accessing applications, or utilizing online functionalities.

Sony has acknowledged the issue and is actively working to resolve it. The company has not provided a specific timeline for when services will be fully restored. In a similar incident in October 2024, PSN experienced an outage that lasted approximately seven hours.

For the most current updates, users are advised to monitor the official PlayStation Network Service Status page.

PlayStation Network (PSN) has been experiencing a prolonged outage that began Friday evening. According to Sony’s PSN status page, multiple services, including account management, gaming and social features, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and the PlayStation Direct website, are all affected.

Regarding gaming, Sony warns that “you might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features” and assures users that they are working to resolve the issues “as soon as possible.”

When this outage was first reported at 7:28 PM ET, a colleague was unable to access their purchased digital games or view friends, trophies, or online status on their PS5. Later, at around 11:45 PM ET, I attempted to play Fort nite on my PS5 but encountered an error message preventing me from logging in. However, I was able to launch my digital copy of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth without issue.
